Dillian Gordon

Dillian Gordon joined the National Gallery, London, as curator of early Italian paintings in 1978. She retired in 2011. She studied for a BA degree in Modern and Medieval Languages at Girton College, Cambridge, followed by an MA and Ph.D. at the Courtauld Institute of Art. She has written extensively on medieval and Renaissance Italian paintings and onthe Wilton Diptych, all of which she continues to research. In 2011 she was appointed OBE (Officer of the British Empire) for services to early Italian painting.
