Sheila Barker
Sheila Barker is Executive Director of Friends of the Medici Archive Project, Florence, where she founded the Jane Fortune Research Program on Women Artists in 2010. After completing her PhD at Columbia University in the history of art in 2002, she was an Allen Whitehill Clowes Curatorial Fellow at the Indianapolis Museum of Art in 2003. In 2020 she curated “The Immensity of the Universe in the Art of Giovanna Garzoni” for the Uffizi. Her most recent book is Artemisia Gentileschi, published by Lund Humphries and Getty Publishers in 2022.
