Emily Friedman
Emily Friedman is a doctoral candidate in the history of art at Johns Hopkins University where she specializes in northern European art of the early modern period. Her dissertation is on the Lyonnais community of goldsmith-engravers active in the first half of the sixteenth century. Her research has been supported by the Charles Singleton Center for the Study of Premodern Europe, and she is currently a Samuel H. Kress Institutional Fellow at the Institut national d’histoire de l’art in Paris.
