Frederick Ilchman

Frederick Ilchman has worked at the Museum of Fine Arts, Boston, since 2001. He is the Mrs. Russel Baker Curator of Paintings and Chair, Art of Europe. He holds a PhD from Columbia University, written under the supervision of David Rosand. Many of Ilchman’s publications on Tintoretto connoisseurship are co-written with Robert Echols. Ilchman is also the Chairman of Save Venice, the largest organization devoted to the conservation of art and architecture in Venice.
