David Miller

David Miller is the former Chief Conservator and Senior Conservator of Paintings at The Indianapolis Museum of Art at Newfields, where he cared for The Clowes Collection and the museum’s collection for over 42 years. His work and publications on The Clowes Collection’s Rembrandt’s Self Portrait and Bellini’s Madonna and Child with St. John contributed towards their being accepted as originals. Studying under Sheldon and Caroline Keck, he received a Masters Degree and Certificate of Advanced Study in Art Conservation from the Cooperstown Graduate Program, was a Fellow of the American Institute for Conservation of Historic and Artistic Works (AIC), first newsletter editor for the Paintings Specialty Group of AIC, and the founding President of the Midwest Regional Conservation Guild (MRCG).
